Urgent. Please help.

我07年12月底申请EB2，I140在08年7月获得批准。在08年11月，我的H1B已满六年。因I140批准，我获得H1B延期至2010年11月。我的H1B是不占名额的那种。
我工作的大学即将被收购，收购者只对房产感兴趣，我可能在今年八月失业。
请问各位大侠：
（1）我该如何保持身份？
（2）我听说：如果我换工作，我就必须重新申请绿卡。因我的工作签证已满六年，如果重新申请绿卡，can I still get my H1B transfered to the new employer？If so, will I keep the expiration date (2010年11月)？Will it work if I just transfer H1B without applying for Green Card?
（3）Do I have to find a job in an non-profit institution with the same or similar job description? Since I have a second degree on other field, can I go with my second degree?
