A Case for the Police
Tears in his eyes, a farmer named Erwin, came to the police station. He said he had found his donkey dead in its stall. A police officer asked if he had found any evidence of foul play.
Erwin honestly said, “The donkey was old and sick, had suffered for a long time and was finally dead.”
The police officer was curious and asked, “Why do you come to our station?”
The farmer answered, “I just want to inform the donkey’s next of kin of its death.”
农夫Erwin流着眼泪来到了警察局，说他今天早上发现他的驴死在了驴圈里。警察问他是否发现有犯罪的线索。
Erwin诚实地说驴是又老又病而且忍受了长期的痛苦终于死了。
警察觉得奇怪就问Erwin那你为什么来到警察局。农夫回答我就是想让驴的近亲知道这个噩耗。
