A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years.
两人结婚60多年了。

老太不让老头子碰衣橱顶上的那个鞋盒---连问一下都不行。 除此以外，两人没有任何事情瞒着对方。

老头在清理各项事务的时候，把鞋盒拿下来放到老太的床边。

老太说，也该是老头子知道盒子里面装的是什么的时候了。
When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls and a stack of money totaling $95,000.
老头打开鞋盒，里面有两个手工织的玩具娃娃，还有一踏钱，数了数，总共有$95,000.
He asked her about the contents.
老头就问老太这是怎么回事。
'When we were to be married,' she said, ' my grandmother told me The secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that If I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll.'
老太说，“我们结婚的时候，我奶奶告诉我，婚姻幸福的秘诀是永远不要争吵。奶奶还说，如果我果真生你的气，就要安静下来，织个玩具娃娃。”
The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears.
老头感动极了，泪水在眼眶里面打转。
Only two Precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry with him two Times in all those years of living and loving.
盒子里才两个玩具娃娃！ 这么多年来她才生了我两次气！
He almost burst with Happiness.
老头子心里漾满了幸福。
'Honey,' he said, 'that explains the doll, but what about all of this money? Where did it come from?'
“亲爱的，经你这么说，我明白了这两个玩具娃娃是咋回事了，可是这些钱呢？这钱从
哪儿来的啊？”
'Oh,' she said, 'that's the money I made from selling the dolls.'
“哦，那些是我卖玩具娃娃得来的钱。”老太说。
