The Long-term Effects Most Gratifying(满足)

Ironically human nature is often the greatest deterrent(障碍物) to making an intelligent decision.

But who can blame us? We're only human. And living for today has its rewards.

Except in the area of investing. Where a certain discipline, understanding and patience can be quite rewarding.

Take Aesop's famous hare and tortoise for instance.

As you recall, it was the impatient hare who looked so promising at first. Yet, it was the dogged determination and single-mindedness of the tortoise that triumphed in the end.

One can easily make the same observation about an investment. At first glance, it may appear to be quite attractive. But will it be as attractive when you need it in the years to come?

Such a question can muddle(搞乱) the mind and haunt one during peaceful moments.

But perhaps we can provide a word or two of optimism.

you see, with nearly one hundred years experience behind us, we know a little something about investimg.

And we'll be the first to tell you, there are no shortcuts. Only pitfalls(易犯的错误) to avoid.

To succeed, it takes hard work, diligence, and a kind of wisdom that can only come from years of experience.

Our experience is with municipal bonds.

In fact, each and every year we review billions of dollars worth of bonds. And only after a painstaking process of research do we finally invest in a select few (including some of thse municipal bonds that other investment companies have overlooked).

All of which are tax-free which means you keep more of money you earn.(Something that adds up quite nicely over the years.)

So if you're thinking about making an investment, we suggest you resist the temptation to do anything instantly.

Inthe end, you may find the long term effects most gratifying.
