Life is too short

Life is too short; before you realize it, you hit your forties already.
You can still run, but you gasp a lot now.
Looking ahead, you know what's going to be like 10 years from now, how depressing!
That's the way how life is, we are on a way of no return.
Missed were many people whom we love or who care for us,
now only appear in dreams or vague memories.
I can go back to the place I grew up,
but only to find that the river I played by, the noise form the elementary school I attended,
they are gone forever,
I will never be able to step in the same river again.

So from today,
try to live a life that will not leave too many regrets.
After all,
we live only once,
there is no second chance.
Be a good father or mother,
be a good huaband or wife;
call your parents, visit them;
be good friends, be a blessing.
Serve others, help the ones in need;
It is more blessed to give than to take.

Thank you my heavenly father,
I know my earthly life is just a brief trip,
it is not the whole, nor the end.
Something much better is saved for later.
