凯伦木匠（Karen Carpenter）是我很喜欢的美国女歌手，她和哥哥迪克木匠（Richard Carpenter）当年是一个很棒的组合“木匠兄妹”（The Carpenters）。在国内的时候，我一听到他们的歌曲就喜欢上了。记得当时，没有找到他们的更多的信息，我一直在纳闷《昨日重现》（Yesterday Once More）到底是谁唱的。
来到米国，有互联网这个信息高速公路，作为流行音乐组合，他们的公开信息自然就不难找了。原来，凯伦是他们这个组合里的主唱，这也就回答了我之前的问题。可是，让我这根面条惋惜的是，凯伦木匠过世得很早。由于厌食症引发的心脏衰竭，生于1950年的她于1983年突然去世，当时只有32岁。据维基百科介绍，她的突然离世引起了公众对于饮食失调的关注。
再后来，看到一个纪录片，里面有不少对木匠哥哥的采访，让本面条对他们的创作、演出生涯有了更多的了解。海伦起初打鼓，后来发现她唱得更好就改任主唱了；迪克则不仅会弹钢琴，乐感很好，作曲也很厉害。另外，下面这首《在世界之巅》（Top of the World），原来是他们乘私人飞机出去旅行演出，心情非常愉快的时候创作的，难怪。
在他们的歌曲里面，免不了有不少是忧伤甚至哀伤的，比如旋律非常动听的《和爱再见》（Goodbye to Love）。有时候，我难免怀疑，会不会这些伤感的歌词和音乐也影响到了海伦的心理健康？这当然纯粹是瞎猜。如果她没有那么早过世，各位粉丝、面条当然就有耳福可以听更多的天籁之音，会有愉快的，也有伤感的，各人可以有各人的喜好。
现在2020年尾，我多愁善感地觉得，无论在这个世界上成就大小，我们都要爱护自己和家人的健康，包括心理健康和饮食健康。至于这不好笑的帖为什么要发在笑坛，这还不清楚吗？经常开口大笑不仅养肺，互相逗乐更调养心理；对社会充满感恩让人充满正能量，时不时地用笑坛的方法报复社会则让我们更爱吃、吃得更好。下面贴的两首木匠兄妹的歌曲，第一首随时可听，歌词也贴在最下面开心；第二首则心情好的时候可听。
