5. Care and Time
If one cares about some other people, it is not enough to just think about it or even say it; typically, one needs to do something for him or her. However, to some really special and yet significant people, often one only needs to be there and spend some time with him or her. Therefore, I come to the conclusion that, if one cares about some other people, one should give him or her some of one's time.
6. Live. Eat. Be Happy.
The choice betwee "to live in order to eat" and "to eat in order to live" is a fake one. In my opinion, we live and eat in order to be happy. Well, some smart one out there will counterargue that we should be happy to be alive and able to eat. Let's do not pursue that argument here.
7. Life and Death
All of us came into the world involuntarily. Most of us will leave the world involuntarily; only a small percentage will leave voluntarily. Which is braver?
All of us came into the world unconsciously. Some of us will leave the world unconsciously; some others will leave consciously. Which is more blessed?
8. This Is Not My Cup of Tea
I did not think much of the saying "This is not my cup of tea," until one day we ran out of the green tea bags that I usually drank. The next best thing, it seemed, was "Green Tea with Pomegranate", but this turned out to be disastrous. The pomegranate powder not only added a wierd reddish color, it also introduced a poignant taste to the tea. At that moment, I understood the saying instinctly. I hope that it does not take such a revealing moment to understand each other sayings; instead, I should try to exercise my imagination more.
