给KGO 810电台主持Gene Burns做的生日晚宴

Cecilia与Lisa,Dan筹划多日为Gene Burns办的生日晚宴。Gene的要求是要吃点辣的但又不能太辣的菜。Cecilia在电话里跟我来回好几次把菜单仔细敲定后,就分头准备了。能与Cecilia同做一席菜,是每个人的荣幸!那天的凉菜有十一道,菠菜拌豆干,椒麻腰花,黑木耳,长豇豆末,怪味鸡丝,夫妻肺片,拌芦笋,鲍鱼生吃,Otoro生吃,蚝油烩双菇,糖醋排骨。汤是松茸鸡汤。热菜有七道,糟溜鱼片,麻婆豆腐,海胆蒸蛋,清炒大豆苗,韭黄炒香干,夹沙肉和炝炒兔丝。当然,还有松茸饭。因为今年是兔年,Cecilia特别要求做一样兔肉的菜,就是想要老美们看看中国烹饪的丰富多样和多端的变化。在这点上,我们要向老太太致敬,教会了老美认识了中餐,吃会了中餐。

去接Cecilia时,先把她的好酒一样来了一杯。

炼鸡油的油渣,本来想直接扔了,没想到Dan 和他儿子 Jorden非常爱吃,我就干脆分成两份,一份放糖,一份放海盐和花椒面,做成椒盐的。被他父子俩走过去抓几颗放嘴里,走过来抓几颗放嘴里,一会儿就精光了。

海胆蒸蛋,有两种做法,一种是把海胆打碎了,跟鸡蛋搅在一起,再蒸。一种是先蒸鸡蛋,在把鲜海胆放在上面。那天是第二种做法。

那天的宾客们:Dan,Lisa, Jorden, 背对大家的那位是北美最有名的食评家之一---Michael Bower,还是像一前那样,不让别人给他照像。

九十多岁的Cecilia,永远有用不完的精力,周围还没碰到任何一位能出其右。

还有些菜,上得太快,忘了拍照片了。那天做菜时,Dan走过来说了句:“The food is F U C King Good." 呵呵。
