an amazing experience with Werewolf - Day 4

fourth day, somehow i had this pulse of installing vlc today, maybe because i've seen many of my friends have been using it on windows, and trying to prove to them that Linux can do everything that windows can. didn't cost me more than 2 minutes to install it, just simply type "yum install vlc mozilla-vlc" and computer would take care of the rest. i was somehow surprised to see that vlc provided such a great bundle of media plugins for firefox that it virtually plays everything now! however...(yeh, always hate this word when somebody says something nice), i did found some audio imperfection when playing my collection of "band of brothers" movies, expressing more explicitly would be unwanted noises during playback. En....reinstalled xine afterwards.

I also managed to get the "forward" and "backward" keys working in firefox (another signature function of Thinkpad). The following was instructions i sampled from online sources:

Create ~/.Xmodmap containing
keycode 234=F19
keycode 233=F20
go to http://mozilla.dorando.at/ and install keyconfig.xpi plugin for firefox
Open Tools→Keyconfig and bind F19 to “Back” and F20 to “Forward”.
