Some of you have asked me when I will start the英语每日一两句again? I will not tip my hand. All I can say is that I am getting my ducks in a row before learning the next English Idiom words.
One thing I would like to say is writing it down and saying it out loud go hand in hand when learning a new word. Paying extra attention to details is also very important. Don’t misuse prepositions like “on” or “in”, or you might become the butt of the joke.
In the past few days, I have been in over my head at work. I almost lost my head one day when a jerk butting in my business during a work related discussion. I tried to stick up for myself, but it still made me very mad. This person has been a pain in the butt for years; this time was the straw that broke the camel's back. My boss helped me resolve this conflict temporarily. I am not sure how he will behave in the future. All I can do is play by ear. I will put my best foot forward when dealing with him.
Any way, I will stick to learning English idiom. Even if it means that I have to duck out of the office early from time to time.
I am not very good in English. I hope I did not put my foot in my mouth. I appreciate any of you correct any mistakes in this little summary of mine.
