第一次听到这首歌，还真以为它是首情歌， 仔细听其实是一首带有浓郁民谣唱腔的思乡之歌,描述了远离家乡后依依不舍又孤寂的心情。

Caledonia原本是苏格兰的某个地方，歌中唱的是指苏格兰，而不是狭义的Caledonia。
在苏格兰享受的就是一种自然。这里的景色类似于我们四川九寨沟，只是没有那么高的海拔，却更开阔、荒芜。除了高地湖水，最不容错过的自然景观便是纯静的岛屿。有的被云层覆盖，好像隐藏在天空中的神秘小岛。
