  昨天去看了芭蕾舞表演， 里面有几个小品， 本来定票是时是 冲着《 Five Brahms Waltzes in the Manner of Isadora Duncan) , 因为自己很喜欢勃拉姆斯的音乐  ， 想看看他的在芭蕾舞 又是如何表现， 意外收获却是其中另外一段芭蕾舞《 Month in the country 乡居一月》
  
  开始以为 《 Month in the country 乡居一月》是改编于 一部英国同名小说/ 电影，说一位 一战老兵到英国乡下一个月修复老教堂壁画， 自己想当然， 等看芭蕾舞时 怎么越不对， 没有一点第一次世界大战的痕迹， 而且 也不像英国乡下， 倒像俄罗斯风情， 自己的homework作错了
  
  原来是根据 俄国小说家 诗人 伊凡·屠格涅夫小说 《 Month in the country 乡居一月》 改编的舞蹈。
  
  Frederick Ashton， 英国舞蹈家， 1930年间看了话剧 《 Month in the country 乡居一月》， 一直抱着一个想法想把这个话剧改编成芭蕾舞， 一直到30年后（1976年 ）成为可能， 当他与 以赛亚·伯林爵士相遇， 以赛亚·伯林， 著名牛津大学政治哲学教授， 俄罗斯犹太后裔， 翻译过不少伊凡·屠格涅夫的小说 （俄译英） ， 他鼓励Frederick Ashton把话剧改编成舞蹈， 而且他还建议Frederick Ashton采用肖邦的音乐
  
  故事是讲 一 位年青英俊 的家教在俄罗斯乡下富裕家庭执教一个月的故事。
  
  舞蹈 非常细腻优美， 配上肖邦的音乐 和舞台布景美伦美奂， 可就是在这样的美好下， 却演绎着一场伤感...
  
  读了有关 伊凡·屠格涅夫介绍， 才知道他 有一个非常凶的母亲， 却有一个非常温和的农奴每天给他读诗， 他客居法国，与乔治桑等法国文人 沙龙，最后 善终巴黎
  
  难怪这个 芭蕾舞用肖邦的音乐， 还是有一定道理的， 伊凡·屠格涅夫也是属于肖邦和他朋友生活的年代。 音乐一开始 马上让我 想起一段歌剧对唱而且是我很喜欢的一段对唱， 很熟很上口， 却想不起来是那一部歌剧，演出完后 一出歌剧院 马上记起来了 《莫扎特歌剧　Don Giovanni　：　Là ci darem la mano》

• 故事从 从 浪漫主义的19世纪，肖邦 和 伊凡·屠格涅夫的时代， 到十月革命，一战二战的 20世纪， 那是舞蹈家Frederick Ashton，以赛亚·伯林生活的时代， 到我们现在21世纪，  《Month in the country 乡居一月》依然 继续, 还有肖邦的音乐， 不同世纪得人性会有差别吗？
  
  
  因为这部舞剧， 让 我想读 伊凡·屠格涅夫的小说 还有那个时代， 或者说读人性吧， 古代人，现代人有区别？ 时代对人性究竟有什么作用 和影响？ 这也是艺术家， 文学家们一直探索的吧
  
  
  Story

  The story concerns the emotional disturbance caused by the presence of a tutor in the home of a country Russian family. Natalia Petrovna, a bored wife, falls for the young tutor of Kolia, Belaiev. The ballet contains a series of pas de deux which carry the action forward: Natalia and her admirer Rakitin, Belaiev and Vera, Natalia’s ward, Belaiev and the maid Katia, and Belaiev and Natalia. In the finale, Vera summons the household to witness the embraces of Natalia and Belaiev; Rakitin tells Belaiev that both of them should leave the house. Alone on stage, Natalia despairs at the young man’s departure, but he returns unseen and unheard and leaves her the rose she had given him.
