"Alane" is the title of a song recorded by Cameroonian artist Wes. It was released in May 1997 as the debut single from his album Welenga. It became a hit, topping the charts in France, Belgium, Austria and the Netherlands. It is sung in Duala language of Cameroon.^[1]

In France, the song was sponsored by TF1,^[2] Fun Radio, RTL and the Malongo Coffees, while the choreography was created by French-born singer Mia Frye. The single remained for 25 weeks in the Top 50, ten of them atop, and is to date the 18th best-selling single of all time.^[3] The song is also currently the 84th best-selling single of all time in Germany
