俄罗斯钢琴家布宁是俄罗斯钢琴学派创建人之一涅高兹的嫡传,他的母亲毕业于莫斯科音乐学院涅高兹班,是他的启蒙老师。

Stanislav Bunin – 1st Prize winner, 11th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (1985). Stanislav Bunin was born into a family that has been linked to music for generations. He started playing the piano at the age of four under the direction of his mother, a teacher at the Moscow Conservatoire. At six, he entered the Central Special Music School at the Moscow Conservatoire. Between 1984 and 1988, he studied at the Moscow Conservatoire with Sergei Dorensky.

Mr. Bunin participated in three piano competitions: International Concertino Praha Radio Competition for Young Musicians in Prague (reached final stage, 1979); Long-Thibaud International Competition in Paris (1st Prize, 1983), and Chopin Competition in Warsaw (1st Prize, Chopin Society Award for best polonaise performance, National Philharmonic Award for best piano concerto performance).

Shortly after winning the Chopin Competition, the pianist launched his international virtuoso career, performing in the world’s most celebrated musical centres with famous conductors and orchestras. In ten years, he gave over 200 concerts in 70 cities in Japan alone.

In 1988, Mr. Bunin left the Soviet Union. He initially settled in Germany before moving to Japan. He has regularly appeared in Poland where he is immensely popular. In 1995, he played at the jubilee 50th International Chopin Festival in Duszniki; in 1997 at a recital in Warsaw, he gave the first public performance of Karol Szymanowski's recently recovered Prelude in C sharp minor; in 2001, he played a Chopin recital in for the 100th anniversary of the Warsaw Philharmonic.

He has made many recordings, including works by Chopin, Bach, Mozart and Débussy, for Deutsche Grammophon, Sony and Toshiba / EMI Classical.

Mr. Bunin has been piano professor at the Senzoku Gakuen Music College in Kawasaki between 1991 and 1997. In 1992, he established The Art of the Piano committee at the Senzoku College. He also champions charity work, having established The Stanislav Bunin Enterprise which supports gifted children in difficulty

Stanislav Stanislavovich Bunin (Russian: Станислав Станиславович Бунин, Stanislav Stanislavovič Bunin; born September 25, 1966) is a Russian-born pianist.

He was born in Moscow in 1966 into an established European musical family which included his grandfather Heinrich Neuhaus and his grandmother Zinaida (Boris Pasternak's wife).

In 1985, after a series of prizes, he won first prize and the gold medal in the 11th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. Recently, he recorded a few of Chopin's works for the soundtrack to the video game Eternal Sonata. He currently resides in Japan.
