[钢琴新星]法国年青的钢琴家:Cedric Tiberghien

The French pianist, Cédric Tiberghien, started playing the piano at the age of five. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de la Musique in Paris with Frédéric Aguessy and Gérard Fremy and was awarded the Premier Prix in 1992, aged just 16. After a further period of study he won several major awards at international competitions: Bremen (2nd prize 1993 - no 1st prize awarded), Dublin (2nd prize 1994), Tel Aviv (Rubinstein Competition 6th prize 1995), Geneva (3rd prize 1996 - no 1st prize awarded), Milan (U. Micheli, semi finalist 1997). In December 1998 he was awarded 1er Grand Prix at the Long-Thibaud Competition in Paris, along with 5 special prizes including the Public Prize and the Orchestra Prize.

This spurred on Cédric Tiberghien's international career, leading to over 150 engagements worldwide, including 7 visits to Japan and showcase appearances throughout Europe.. He has appeared as in solo recitals, with orchestra and in chamber music, both in France (Salle Pleyel, Théâtre du Chatelet, Theatre des Champs Elysées, Corum at Montpelier, Salle Ravel in Lyon…) and internationally (Vienna Musikverein, Amstrerdam Concertgebouw, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Wigmore Hall in London, USA, Russia, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Canada, Poland, Switzerland, China, Mexico, Columbia…). He has also taken part in many international festivals, such as Edinburgh, City of London, Klavier Festival Ruhr, Yokohama Festival, La Roque d’Anthéron, Toulouse Piano aux Jacobins, Piano en Valois among others.

With more than 50 concertos in his repertoire Cédric Tiberghien has made frequent appearances with a large number of prestigious international orchestras including the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Staatsorchester Stuttgart, Hamburger Philharmoniker, BBC Philharmonic, BBC Scottish Symphony, Israel Chamber Orchestra, L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestra Philarmonia di Roma, Tokyo Philarmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic, and in France: Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de France, Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, Orchestre National d’Ile de France, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre National de Lyon, Orchestre National de Montpellier, Orchestre de Picardie, etc. Conductors with whom he has worked include Jean-Claude Casadesus, Myung-Whun Chung, Edmon Colomer, Christoph Eschenbach, Ivan Fischer, Louis Langrée, Friedemann Layer, Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur, Jacques Mercier, John Nelson, Michel Plasson, Yutaka Sado, Stefan Sanderling, Jerzy Semkow, Leif Segerstam, Simone Young, among many others.
