My longest 45 minutes in Israel

Seeing the war between Israel and Palestine reminds me of my trip to Israel in 2017. I had a little adventrue: took but to the Dead Sea. Even though I already saw lots of soldiers on the street, I were still surprised to see many more soldiers with bigger guns.

On the way I saw some places that have nothing, no trees, no bushes, no grasses, no life. I was shocked by the nothingness, and almost felt eye sore.

The bus was stopped in a few places. Some place was either a village or a community, had soldiers with big guns guarding the closed gate. I  suddenly I felt unsafe, and was thinking maybe we shouldn’t take the bus ourselves, I also saw quit a few abandoned houses, with lots of big and small gunshot holes. They told me the story of wars and lost lives. I felt peace in Iseal is fragile and temporary.

When I were in the Dead Sea, it was a different story. Most people were tourists from all over the world. We were just so amazed by the phenomena that you can sit on the water. I borrowed a magazine and post as if I was reading while sitting on the water. Since we went there ourselves, we stayed much longer in the water than most of the tourists. After we got out, there was a beautiful sunset. With no vegitation, not cloud, and a few people the sun felt very bright, hard, and lonely. We talked alonge the hill and forgot the time. When we finally realize we need to go back to catch the bus, the sun went down fast, and suddenly we were in the dark. In the bus stop, no city lights, no people walking by, no other noises, just two of us and a young man from Czech. We had some conversitions about China, Czech and UAS. If there was light, the unspoken word scare will be clearly seen on our faces. That was the longest 45 minutes in my life.
