有工夫要调出当年他的比赛录像瞻仰一下了。没准他就会取代俺原先的名单里哪一位。

I remember that Rafter not only donated his prize money to Children Hospital but also establish a foundation with help from his family just like Federer did now with the help from his Mum to help S. Africa Children since his Mum came from there.
"Patrick Rafter Cherish the Children was formed in 1999, when Patrick donated his earnings from the Australian Open to help the next generation."
I, personally admired Rafter, not only his 独行侠 playing style, Serve and Volley, but also his personality and the way to handle his tennis life. A Passion for Tennis, a Passion for Life! He always present his best, enjoy the wining and take the lose but always praise his opponent. He is the first back-to-back winner since Pete Sampras in 1995-96, made just five unforced errors in the final, beating countryman Mark Philippoussis 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 to gave his Aussie-mate a good lesson to put his Country first over personal own interest since Philippoussis didn't play Davis Cup and just play ATP tours. Rafter went 4-0 in Davis Cup play and helped his country to its first World Team Championship by winning three of four matches.
He won a lot of award for his warm heart. His smile is just like a Baby very sincere from bottom of his heart.
When people asked him what he would do after retirement, he said he would just like to be an ordinary people and back to his father's farm to pick up Strawberry but donate his prize money to help others. He certainly showed a lot of sportsmanship in his generation. Unfortunately, his playing style hurt him too much. When he serves, his whole body is just like a coil of spring and release power from every angle, amazing! For all, Rafter is my model just like Dok's play mate who is on wheel-chair.
