其中的一封信
自画像，没钱的时候只好画自己。

这是梵高在看到 Bernard 的画后，很喜欢，就画了一张水粉。如果你仔细看就会发现梵高画中的人的高矮有些变化，看图中背对我们的两小孩，梵高的小孩高矮几乎一致，像在耳语，而 Bernard 画中的则不然。再看右上角坐在地上的三个女人，也有同样的变化。
下面的画名为 Olive Trees ，是描绘基督在 Mount of Olivers ，基督并没有出现在画面，梵高希望用其他形式表现基督。这幅画看久了，就会感觉到他在用全身的力量拼命在画。
Bernard ，高更和梵高过往甚密，梵高写信给高更请他到南方的阿尔，在信上还画了自己的房间的安置，后来就此作了两幅画，这是其中的一副：
1889
1888 年他们在一起呆了 9 个星期，最后不欢而散。梵高割下自己的耳垂。
1890 年梵高自杀。
关于 Starry Night Over the Rhone(1888) ，梵高在信上写到（英译）：
But when will I do the starry night, that painting that's always on my mind? Alas, it's just as our excellent pal Cyprien says, in"En menage" by J.K.Huysmans:"the most beautiful paintings are those one dreams of while smoking a pipe in one's bed, but which doesn't make. But it's a matter of attacking them nevertheless, however incompetent one may feel vis-a-vis the ineffable perfections of nature's glorious spendours.
