Tax question

somebody gave me suggestion like this,

Also consider accelerating income....you\'re normal tax rate should be about 33% and you only pay a max of 28% under the AMT....

I always try to avoid AMT in the last few years. so it really confused me.

any explanation/suggestion will be appreciated.
