The passage of time in regard to time is money

Time is money, in financial terms money will be compounded with time passing by. In real life, do we get richer, wiser or only get older physically with the passage of time? Since time is irreversable, what do we gain or learn when we get older? I wish I at least gain some widsom when I get older, at least I learn from my life experience. If there is a life after this one, I hope I can do better next time.
