I obviously have not visited this site in awhile and was saddened to find the writer passed away. It was always a bright spot and I'm very sorry to have not sent my appreciation while Kevin was alive. Condolences to friends and family. Pattie Whitehurst 12/6/17

I always enjoyed the content from Arbroath. The internet is a vast landscape, but I appreciate a person who took a little time to put out some effort to make it, and any random day one might stumble across Arbroath, a little better. Sorry to Mr. Gray's family for their loss...

Kevin , his nickname at school was Beaver or Dave (from Dave Hill from Slade..)was a well known character at Portway and Ecclesbourne school and also around Derby. I was really good friends with Kev at school and we were really into music. We went to lots of gigs in Derby , Leicester and to festivals , particularly Reading in 77 to see Things Lizzy-a real favourite of ours. We also went on holiday to Seaton Carow Minehead and the Isle of Wight. He loved music , pubs , humour and football. I lost touch with Kev after going to college and moving to London. He was a very independent person , a great character who was never boring ! Sad , sad news. Colin

Kev's blog "Nothing To Do With Arbroath" brought me great happiness over the years. Every single day I'd read it over lunch and have my spirits lifted. There's not a single bad thing I could say about his efforts, always entertaining, always uplifting. You'll be sorely missed.

I've been following Kev's blog for years and was saddened to hear about his medical issues. Make that doubly or trebly saddened to learn of his untimely passing. The internet will be a dimmer place by not having Kevin around to amuse, educate and entertain us.

A long time fan of Mr. Gray's blog, I'd like to add my condolences to his family & friends from across the pond. He was part of my daily routine for years- coffee and read thru his blog. He will be missed, in more ways than I'm sure he would have ever imagined. Rest finally in peace, Kev.

I always looked forward to your blog posts in the morning and even used one or two as sub plots for whatever novel I was writing at the time. You will be missed, sir.

Kev touched people literally all over the world with his blog; his humor was by turn heartwarming and deviously amusing, and never failed to have something for any reader on a daily basis. I'll miss him although I never met him, and am thankful he shared his time with me and so many others. Blessings to his family.
