我们定了四个晚上cabin，两天去了公园，第三天去骑了马，做吃的，大部分时间就是休息，这样第四天回家的时候还有精力再玩其它的地方，我们去了总统山(mt rushmore)。先来看一下我们住的地方，两个房中间有过道相连：
这里曾有个熊常来骚扰，去年被网住放到了别的地方，但拉圾箱是熊不能开的：
这个房也因此得名(Cozy Bear cabin)：
房子的对面是另外一些cabin：
背后是一条清彻见底的小溪，但水流很急也很凉，不能游泳也没钓到鱼：
这是刚到时的晚餐：
这是最后一天的晚餐：
朋友正在准备烧烤：
厨房里很齐全，有各种餐具，多种作料，锅碗瓢勺等，我们用里面的泡打粉还炸了一次油条，效果不错！
有四个卧室，这是其中之一：
最后这天一早去了对面去爬山：
路上的小地鼠
骑马，比我们那里便宜多了，$20一小时，马好风景也好：
回程的路山去了总统山，这张是在外面路上照的，门票是$10一个车：
在里面看：
里面还有博物馆，礼品店，图书馆等，有两个小电影，一个是介绍雕刻的过程（主要是用的炸药），另一个介绍这个山的风景。我们来这里似乎不巧，天上下起了雨：
可是也不好说，雨没多久就停了，看到了非常好看的彩虹，双道的：

The horse ride is called "skyline ranch" I think. There are others as well. Just make phone calls one day ahead.

It is better to reserve with priceline.com to save money if you can. But there should be plenty rooms available on the side of highway.
Is it necessary to make reservations in advance? Or they are easy to find and cheap? We have a long drive from Yellowstone to Mt. Rushmore, therefore it's a bit difficult to know where we will be by evening hours.
You can book a hotel in Rapid City which is very close to Mt Rushmore. There is zoo to see the bears,

To Yellowstone168: I will suggest the adults go some trails in depth since you live inside the park to explore some wildness. You may also find time to fishing. Good luck!

We will also be visiting Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore later August. We booked cabins inside Yellowstone, but are searching for a place to stay in or near Mt. Rushmore. We will drive from Yellowstone to Mt. Rushmore. Any recommendations? Also any other places of interests to see along the way?
