night terror!

Yesterday morning 4 am Ruyi started to cry and then turned into a 30min screaming of No!No! No!..... She would stretch her body if I tried to hold her and nothing can subdue her. We were both so terrified thinking something wrong with her. She looked so upset and as if she was in great anger and pain. And then all of sudden she became quiet and looked tired and asked for bed. Quickly she fell asleep. From talking to coworkers and teachers, as well as checking the internet, we learnt this is a normal phenomenon among toddlers called confusional arousal, one type of night terror.
