Baby sleep, my small 2 cents

My son is 18 months old now and he sleeps in his own crib, almost the whole night. sometimes he woke up in the night and I just picked him up and put him beside me then he can continue to sleep. He is a very happy boy.

What I want to say is: I never trained him and I don\'t even understand the meaning of sleep training.

When my son was very little, 0-6 months. I need to breastfeed him every 2 hours at night. It was cold and lonely nights for me, very tired and sleepy. but the smile on my baby\'s face was one of the most beautiful memories in my life. He sometimes opened his mouth and laugh before he went back to sleep. That sweet baby laugh touched my heart.

We formed a routine eventually. I will feed him and then hold him in my arms and talk to him, smile to him and tickle him. My son will laugh and smile and fall asleep. We both feel very close to each other. That is my favorite moment in a day!

After 1 year old, I guess, my son doesn\'t want to stay in my arms before sleep. we will stay in the bed together, talking and playing and laughing. After a short time he is sleepy and I ask him: do you want to sleep and I will put him in his crib. He will fall asleep by himself after I leave.

Anyway, I feel that bed time is a very good opportunity for mom and baby to bond and enjoy each other. If you let your baby feel love, safety, warm and fun, and it is time for her/him to feel sleepy, why will they want to cry instead of to sleep? The feelings of the babies before sleep will accompany them for the whole night, maybe.
