Happy first birthday to my baby,Dec.29,2012

My baby is turning one today Dec.29,2012. Happy birthday to you,my little princess! You are a todller now. We rented the big party room at the high building beside our home. There were about 70 people including adults and kids coming to the party.Thank you my friends for your coming!It was a successful party with so many things going on, the lucky draw with prizes, the talent show draw with the kids,the buffet style catering food,and the friends getting together to celebrate not only the birthday but also the holiday-xmas, new year etc.What a merry party we had. There were good performances e.g.dancing,singing,riddle guessing,magic show etc by the kids-big and small, they made us laugh. Some more people coming and some leaving, what a chaotic scene.My baby was not aware of what was going on. She was doing well though with so many different people holding her.We sang the happy birthday song. I was holding the baby to blow the candle, then we shared two Bday cakes. At the end, my baby was put on a table with some items on it-there were bank card,cheque book,a $20 dollars bill,book,necklace,lipstick,sunglasses,wallet,a pen,a perfume.In Chinese tradition one year old baby will pick an item in front of her, what ever item she picks will predict what kind of profession job she will do when she grows up-we call it ZHUOZOU. My baby looked at all the items in front of her, then she reached out her hand firstly she touched the pen-what a good girl I was thinking then she removed her hand from the pen instead she grabbed the book beside the pen and held the book high up. That was good too,she will become a writer I announced-No,from my husband,he said in a loud voice-She will become a school teacher.Oh, whatever, that is a good job too. My baby, whatever profession job you will do in the future is not important, the most important thing is to become an independent person, who knows what she wants and likes, to be yourself, to be happy,positive,healthy in physical and emotional states, know how to enjoy life and be grateful what you have. And a person who is caring,loving,knowing mercy and have a big,good heart.We were happy we held a big Bday party for her. She had no idea of the big day but when she was bigger enough, when she saw those pictures and videos, I think she will know how lucky she is. And how much she was loved by her family and friends.
