Mono Cliff Provincial Park fall color trip (Oct.9,2011)

The park is at Orangeville area, about one hour drive from my home.

 

It is a perfact sunny,warm early autumn day for a fall color trip. This Thanksgiving long weekend is blessed with beautiful weather. Can't miss it to do an outing.

 

On the way to the park, we are passing by so many colorful leaves,trees,forest and farm already, a feast for the eyes even before we get to the destination.

 

We have a few families met together at the park's entrance the parking lot. Seniors,kids,couples,plus me-a pregnent woman,about almost 20 people start to hike on the blue-green trails after study the map.

 

The leaves make a colorful picture for the forest with layers, golden,yellow, brown, red,green,...so many colors mix together to play a fall symphony. Hiking on the trail in the picturesque park truely is a enjoyable thing.Good company makes the hiking so interesting as well.

 

We take pictures by the small ponds, watch small fishes swimming in the clear water, see the trees shades on the water through the golden sunshine, enjoy the views everywhere we go,taste the wild pears and apples,watch the eagles flying on top of the trees...

 

After a few hours uphill and downhill hiking, we stop at the look out to enjoy a panoramic fall color view. It is really incredible.You can see far away and all the leaves look like on fire, so bright and vivid.Another boardwalk down to the steps is worthy to mention as well. It is along the cliffs and reminds us this is part of Niagaral Escarpment.It is also very similar with the scenery back in China.

 

Finally, we finish a circle and back to the parking lot. It is time for a nice picnic. We share food together. The families bring so many good food and everybody enjoys them very much.

 

On the way back home, me and Aaron take another route, we pass by the Fork credit provincial park and Bell Fountain area, enjoy the uphill and downhill drive due to the area is on the Niagral Escarpment. We stop for a while by the credit river,then along Mississauga Road back home.This route is famous by its scenery view specially in fall season for the fall color. Aaron loves to ride his motorbike here and so do other motorcycle riders. For the past, we have been here a few times on Aaron's motorbike.

 

Although each year we do fall color trip, each time we enjoy the view and are amazed by the nature mother's feast like we see it the first time. You will never get tired of it.
