I have never paid attention to Pandora in my life until we visited Hawaii in April 2012. After we checked in a hotel in Maui, I was reading a tour guide book in the hotel room, suddenly my eyes were attracted by a beautiful Pandora bracelet with Hawaiian memory charms. I showed the picture to my hubby and asked if I can get a bracelet like this as a souvenir, he said: sure, why not? But how much it will cost? I had no idea at that time and by guess I said: maybe $300.
We found a jewelry store nearby our hotel where I was so excited to pick up a bracelet together with a pile of charms , when the store lady told me the cost, I was so shocked, it was 4 times more than my guess! I have to reduce quite a lot with higher prices, I noticed that my hubby was also surprised by the price, but he said: don’t worry, just take whatever you like, we do not take vacation frequently, once you enjoy, that is the most important than anything! With the gracious love from my hubby, I started my first Pandora:
Bracelet 20CM, There are 3 sections: center, left and right
Details of center part:
Bible
Love you!
Swirl shape is very much like Hawaiian leave, I chose blue color to present ocean around Hawaii
Two birth animals, me and my hubby
Aloha Lei
In order to separate this section with left and right, I added two clips.
Blue is my theme color - Ocean
Star is to record our overnight flying to Hawaii
This section shows God’s love to us and our appreciation to God!
I chose some special charms for my memories in Hawaii in the left part of my bracelet:
Turtle
Coconut Tree
Sea Shell with Starfish
Car – We had a wonderful driving experience around Maui Island, as well as to the top of Volcano
Hana Bay
Haleakala volcano, 10,023 Feet above see level
Above was completed in Maui
Next stop, we flew to Honolulu, where I chose few more charms:
Hawaiian Sunshine
Pineapple – We visited Dole Plantation, I had a lot of Dole cannery food in the past, but I did not know they were from Honolulu
Considering that Hawaii has the lower tax rate, I purchased more charms to fill the right part of the bracelet:
Camera – recorded all the wonderful memories in our trip
Suitcase is a necessity for a trip
Airplane for sure
Safety Chain to keep my bracelet safe
Our next stop was San Francisco. There is a Pandora store in Westfield Mall on Market Street, however, they did not have San Francisco special charms, so I picked a blue color to memorize our across ocean flying to San Francisco
Fortunately, I found a cable car charm at Pier 39, on top of the charm, it prints: San Francisco, that completed my first Pandora story!
Cable Car on the street
Please take a look at my first Pandora :
After tax, the total cost was a little over $1000, that was my great joy of this trip!
