What's the medical term for this throat problem? Thanks.

A sore and slightly painful throat. Sometimes my throat becomes hoarse and loses my voice after talking too much or too loud. It\'s been going on for quite a few years. It\'s something chronic for sure. Want to see a doctor but don\'t know the medical term for this problem and also don\'t know what kind of doctors are specialized in this area.
