I have worked for this big company since 2002, and separated with my husband for one year.
Three Months ago,I asked my manager whether or not I can move with my hubby (400 miles away) and work from home. Now,he offered me this telecommute offer.My company is a big traditional company, I am working for IT Department, My group is the most important group in my company. Right now, I am working on java section, my boss couldn\'t find the right person to do my job.He worried about I may quit if he won\'t give me this telecommmute offer.
For me,I am so happy that I can reunion with my husband, but I really don\'t know how long I can keep working like this.Is that telecommuting work can keep long as normal office work? By the way,My company has a pretty good record,they never laid off people since company first day(within 40 years).
Could you give me any suggestion about this telecommmute offer? How can I keep this job as long as I can? Thanks a lot!
