Arrived in Buenos Aires around 9:30 or so. We met up with the rest of the group (13 total), and were driven to our homestays. I'm staying with a woman named Ana who lives alone, but has 3 kids who are all grown up and have kids of their own. Ana lived in the states before, so she speaks a little bit of English, but I try to converse with her in Spanish the whole time. Her apartment is quaint and homey with a little balcony that overlooks other apartments in the area. My room is really small (about 9x7??) but I don't really mind. I figured out how to get the internet, so...I'm completely content right now!
I've gotten to practice my Spanish a good amount so far. Ana showed me where the computer store was so I could walk there and buy a cable for the internet. I only had a 100 peso bill, and the Compumundo didn't have change, so I ended up walking to the restaurant next door and asking a waiter for change. I had to do that twice because the computer store didn't have the change I needed.
At 8, we're meeting with the group to have dinner at a restaurant called Campechano (I think that's the name?).
