Monster Trucks in RCA Dome

(2008-02-01 07:34:10) 下一个
RCA Dome is a football stadium, so it is fairly big, big enough to drive around.

To photograph trucks, it turns out 200mm is the right focal length, so 70-200mm f/2.8 will work. However, if you happen to have Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8, it would be better: you can zoom in more.

Lighting in a pro football stadium is excellent. At ISO 3200 and f/2.8, you can get shutter speed faster than 1/1000 sec. Of course, that assumes you take you camera out of the flash mode.

1 RCA Dome, located in Indianapolis downtown. You can see a little haziness, which is due to the smoke from fireworks earlier.

13 A flash photographer. He is actually using his flash unit (model Speedlight SB-600) when taking photographs. Notice he has a diffuser on his flash, and set the flash to bounce off the ceiling. Note that the ceiling is 100 ft (or more) high, and the trucks are 200 ft away.
