My Parents got the visa to the US

Great news for me! My parents got visa to the US yesterday. I was told that it is almost impossible for people who live in countryside, without a formal job to get a visa. When my father and mother was applying for passport several months ago, they were told by the passport officer that they could not get the visa according their experience.
My parents are farmers. They are in late sixties. They are staying in my hometown all their life. They do not have income; however, they never asked money from me. The would spend a penny for themself. I send them some money several years ago. They just put the money into bank and saved them for me.
I asked them to come to visit me from a year ago. They are hesitating to come. My mother told me that if she could be helpful to me, she would come. If I asked them come to travel, they would not come because it is too expensive. They never had been rich. They know how hard to earn money from their life. The are just ordinary farmers or peasants and devoted all of their time, effort and money to their kids. They never expected to become rich.
When I was preparing the documents, I called them for the passport information. They do not know anything about ABC. It was very interesting how could I figure out the letters by describing the shape of the letters. I still made some mistakes, for example, G and 6. My father mistakenly read G as 6 and I found it out when I made the appointment with US ambassy in Beijing.
I sent them the required documents which I got the list from a friend to them a month ago. It is a very good list and template. I think this document preparation helps. I made the visa interview appointment for them. They went to Beijing one day ahead of the interview time. My little brother accompanied my parents to Beijing. This is the first time for them to visit Beijing. I asked them to take taxi whenever possible. However, they just wanted to take buses for saving money. They went to the ambassy at the scheduled time. My parents entered into the ambassy while my little brother waiting outside. My parents told me that they waited for about three hours. When they came to the window, my parents showed the documents to the visa officer who is a lady. The lady glampsed the document and asked a few simple questions. The lady asked for a family photo; however, my parents did not bring it. I actually send them the family photo I took last year when I visited them, my father forget to bring the photos with them. Fortunately, I sent them the notarization of my birth certificate. The lady took the notarization inside and discussed with another officer. A while later, my parents were informed that they passed the interview. They will get the visa three days later, on Oct 31th of 2007. I am so lucky. My parents are so lucky. They told me that 90% of the visa application were turned down before they went to the window. There were so many people crying after their visa applications were refused. I would like to attribute this lucky to the blessing of god. He has the arrangement for me. Thank you, havenly father. Thank you for your guidance and wisdom. I feel strong when your holy spirit comes to me. I will pray more and keep my mind in peace.
