Got a joke from a former State Patrol coworker. It goes like this:"A Mexican drinks his beer and suddenly throws his glass in the air, pulls out his pistol and shoots the glass to pieces. He says, "In Mexico our glasses are so cheap we don't need to drink from the same glass twice."An Iraqi, obviously impressed by this, drinks his beer, throws his glass into the air, pulls out his AK-47 and shoots the glass to pieces. He says, "In Iraq we have so much sand to make glasses that we don't need to drink out of the same glass twice either.The Florida girl, cool as a cucumber, picks up her beer and drinks it, throws her glass in to the air, pulls out her gun and shoots the Mexican and the Iraqi, and catches her glass. She says, "In America we have so many illegal Mexicans and Arabs that we don't have to drink with the same ones twice.God Bless America" Felt very funny. So forwarded to my current CIS coworkers. But put disclaimer " This is ONLY a joke. Enjoy just that, please!!" considering the fragil nerves a lot of people in this country. Have to cover my rear end. Then I heard laughters after laughters once they started opening their emails. Some of them said "Haa Haa, but oops, this is politically incorrect." And some like the joke, also my disclaimer. As a immigrant myself, a LEGAL immigrant, I can't stand to see those illegal ones taking up the resources from this country and block the opportunity for other legal ones, with higher education, better skills and far more willing to adapt to this country and culture, therefore contributes far greater to this country. Time and time again, those immigrants, especially Hispanic customers, have guts to blame me since I can't speak Spanish. Hello, I thought this is a English speaking country!!! Should I go around to demand government to put Chinese signs on every doors and walls in the public and provide translations in every phone recordings in Chinese as well? 郁闷。
