12 Birthright

1. What a drama! I think in the entire book of Genesis, this episode is the most dramatic, very much like Shakespear! Birthright, blessing, were things to fight for, and Jacob, the younger brother good at grabbing things was the winner. Eager to know what happened after Isaac died.

2. I love it when Jesus said the healthy doesn't need doctor but the sick does, and he came not for the righteous, but the sinners. 

3. And the oppressions shall cease...

4. Today's proverb reminds me the offering of Abel.

创世记 26:17-27:46
以扫去外邦女子为妻，违背神的心意，也使父母愁烦。
利百加帮助小儿子雅各骗取了以撒的祝福。 利百加和雅各将来必定为此付出代价。


马太福音 9:1-9:17
1）“康健的人用不着医生，有病的人才用得着。。。我来，本不是召义人，乃是召罪人。 -耶稣赦免人的罪孽，医治人的疾病。


2）“但日子将到，新郎要离开他们，那时候他们就要禁食。”- 耶稣对禁食的教导，新郎指耶稣。
（有点疑惑：是否指耶稣离开世界到第二次再来，我们都当禁食？）

3）“新酒装在新皮袋里”---这是非常重要的教导， 新酒指的是圣灵，我们心就是那盛酒的皮袋，圣灵住在我们的心里，我们的心就当是被圣灵更新洁净的新皮袋，而要去除老的旧皮袋。

诗篇 10:16-10:18
耶和华侧耳听谦卑人的祈求。

箴言 3:9-3:10
当将自己最好的，优先献给神！
“因我们的才智金钱皆属于他，我们只是他所赐资源的管家。将最好的优先献给神，能帮助我们胜过贪心，使我们善用他所赐的资源，并能领受他特别的恩福。”（灵修版摘录）

~蓑笠翁 : 昨天没读那个BLOG。 我也不能苟同BOB的说法：“In fact, their sins were employed by God in such a way as to achieve the will of God. God’s sovereignty is never thwarted by man’s sin. To the contrary, God is able to achieve His purposes by employing man’s sinful acts to further His plans.”雅各和利百加巧取祝福一事非常有戏剧性，值得讨论。我认为雅各在明天的章节里为此付出了代价，而且纵观雅各的一生，他“又短又苦”(雅各语)的自我总结为我们勾勒出一个钻营者内心的艰辛。不过从另一个角度来看，我觉得雅各和以扫非常象亚伯和该隐。以扫没有马上动手，否则雅各肯定不是他的对手。神是看内心的，我相信他不会看错。

估计你对我的回答不满意。我建议当我们读完旧约历史书以后回来再看看这个问题。也许我们可以从雅各的后代以色列人和以扫的后代以东人身上看到当初这两个兄弟对神的态度。

今天bible site down了。不知道确切要学习的章节。就根据平常的进度读了中文的圣经。内容应该是一样的。

创世纪26：17-28:28
26:34以扫四十岁的时候娶了赫人比利的女儿犹滴，与赫人以伦的女儿巴实抹为妻。
26:35她们常使以撒和利百加心里愁烦。
Q：为什么会增加愁烦？因为不同的信仰？

27章
Q：通篇在讲利百加和她儿子雅各怎样施展伎俩骗取以撒的信任和祝福，从而剥夺亲兄弟以扫的权利和财富。这种见利忘义，六亲不认，自私自利的恶劣行径在后来的日子里肯定应该受到惩罚，是吗？
Q：利百加作为母亲教唆儿子雅各欺骗自己的父亲去剥夺另一个亲生儿子的一切，难道就不受任何惩罚吗？

28章：
Q：雅各以欺骗的手法骗取的地位财富似乎是得到了确认，这不公平呀？！

马太福音第九章：
耶稣的神迹。强调了信心的作用。"康健的人用不着医生，有病的人才用得着"

Genesis: Although Jacob valued God's blessing, I despise his deceits. I don't understand why he DID get the real blessing by deceits... Don't quite agree with Bob's analysis, even Abraham was not perfect, so was Esau...... Maybe I am too stubborn, I can never pursuade myself.....Anyway, amazed by Isaac's patience to dig the wells and his patience was from the faith to God.

Matthew: It is so encouraging that Jesus healed people but also forgives sins.
Like this statement: "I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners".

Appreciated that Lord never despises sinners, like you and me.....


Psalm: God take care of you and me when we are helpless......

Proverbs: Don't treasure our own wealth, God will provide us when we follow his words and walk in his wills......
