Speaker Biography:
Dr. Mark Stephenson began his career on the production side of the dairy industry. Following degrees in Dairy Science from Michigan State University in the late 1970s, he worked for Cooperative Extension in that state. Mark returned to school at Cornell University to complete a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics with an emphasis on dairy marketing. Prior to his present appointment, he was a member of the Agricultural Economics faculty at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. Currently, Dr. Stephenson is a member of the faculty at Cornell University in the Department of Applied Economics and Management (AEM). His work at Cornell focuses on dairy markets and policy issues at the farm and processor levels.
