GUYS this is no JOKE ! I graduted few months back with my MBA in NC. Its a small private but Accredited Uni. I am going through this shit. EVERY one says MBA is a ticket to sucess. I am willing to go any where the job takes me. I have applied to over 200 firms across the nation and no one wants to give me a chance. You know WHY ? because many HR BASTARDS are all interested in BRAND NAME SCHOOLS. YOU could be a dumb asshole like our President W who went to YALE and still make it big ?

Serious question:
-I heard that some interviewers are like this (not this much of a jerk!), but it is in I-Banking, because I have only heard of these attitudes in Sales / Trading videos. They do this to see how you react under pressure. So how is someone supposed to react? Would a calm reaction show confidence? Or should the interviewee fire back?

interesting,,,but far from what i've experienced..maybe canadian banks are different than the US ones, but i doubt it.

the interviewers definately like confidence...you don't want a person working on a something that's worth millions (and billions) of dollars and affecting millions of shareholders, and then screw up cuz he's too weak or can't make a decision, etc.

I've had a few IB interviews - the MD's weren't anywhere near this bad. They don't respect weakness, though - a little swagger and a little confidence are pretty key. Yes, you do need some brass down there.
