Since our 2002 Arizona / Utah trip, we have always wanted to go back to that region. This Thanksgiving we got to do that. Our itinerary was:
Day 1: Fly to Las Vegas, visit Valley of Fire State Park (NV).
Day 2: Day trip to Death Valley National Park (CA).
Day 3: Drive to Sedona (AZ) through Prescott and Jerome.
Day 4/5: Sedona.
Day 6: Drive to Cortez (CO), visiting Petrified Forest National Park (AZ) on the way.
Day 7: Mesa Verde National Park (CO).
Day 8: Drive to Page (AZ) through Four Corners Monument and Monument Valley.
Day 9: Page (AZ)
Day 10: Drive back to Las Vegas and fly home.
