Last day of the trip, we decided to go to Évora, a city east of Lisbon best known for its Chapel of the Bones (a chapel totally covered with human bones).
1. From Évora bus station, it is about 15 minutes’ walk to the town center, Giraldo Square. We passed a big cemetery along the way.
2. Looking into the cemetery quickly.
3. Walking to the town center, Giraldo Square.
4. Church at Giraldo Square. There was a TI office at the square that gave free maps.
5. Church of St. Francis (best known for its Chapel of the Bones) was under major renovation.
6. But Chapel of the Bones could still be visited through a side door.
7. Chapel of the Bones. The words above the entrance say: "We bones that here are, for yours await".

16. Back at Giraldo Square.
17. Walking from Giraldo Square to Cathedral of Évora, many souvenir stalls along the way.
18. Cathedral of Évora was closed during lunch break.
19. Close to the Cathedral, there is the Roman Temple of Évora.
20. A building near the Roman Temple.
21. A 9 kilometers (6 miles) aqueduct (built between 1531 and 1537) bisected the city, resulting in the construction of houses, shops and cafés built between the arches.
22. More aqueduct photo.
23. The city is still partially enclosed by medieval walls.
So that's it, our Spain and Portugal vacations. Weather had been great. People were nice, especially in Portugal. I am glad we finally made it to Portugal.

P.S. 1 euro was about 1.26 USD in Nov./Dec. 2014.
