关于美国枪击案的数据调查

不知道大家是不是已经忘了昨天的争论？我答应的要找关于枪击案的资料，我确实找到了。

首先，我要说抱歉，我在讨论的时候，却是是根据自己的主观印象说了：美国枪击案应该一个月不到一起。这主要是我主观认为，美国枪击案，都会被媒体大幅报道，一般来说，我都应该能够知道。美国的媒体，总是报忧不报喜。这倒不是美国媒体高尚，而是源于自由竞争。美国好人好事是不会被特别报道的。但是对于坏事情，总是被媒体第一时间曝光。

出于这个原因，我在昨天的讨论中自以为是了，就觉得自己没有看到那么多的报道，感觉没有那么多枪击案，实际上美国的枪击案确实非常多！这里陈恳道歉！就是单纯为自己当时的没有依据的凭感觉道歉，请不要多想！因为我觉得群里有些小朋友，会多想。比如，我昨天帖子里说了下“年轻人”，就有人不爽。实际上，我确实是非常羡慕你们的年轻的。当然，你们现在不理解，等你们到了我这个年纪，我相信也会一样羡慕年轻。

好了，我还是言归正传：为昨晚的胡说道歉！！！！

下面，我们首先看看美国关于枪支相关的死亡情况：

我用的是维基百科的资料。维基百科的好处是包罗万象，坏处是准确率大约在80%，是2014年的统计。不过，我觉得我们这个案子还是可以使用的。因为那里面20%的误差主要集中在观点争议性网页，有不同观点的双方会修改资料。而我们的案子，都属于统计数据，我也看了维基百科的引述出处，他们都有表明，每段[ ]里面的数字，就是他们资料来源地原始出处。比如下面一段文字的[3]，就是出自美国政府的官方网站: FastStats: Mortality - All firearm deaths. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/homicide.htm (accessed July 27, 2015).

为了验证准确性，我特意下载了这个政府文件，在里面找到了维基百科的相关数据。如果有人感兴趣，可以联系我。

所以，我认为维基百科下面的数据是可靠的。

因为维基百科在中国大陆无法打开，所以，我copy了网页上相关描述：

简单介绍一下：2013年33169人死于枪支相关，其中21175死于自杀，11208死于他杀。看起来确实很多。美国2010年的数据：67%的他杀案件都是枪杀。

那么美国一年的他杀案死亡人数是多少呢？

我又找到资料：

简单说：美国2013年他杀死亡人数是：13716人，包括非故意杀人。很有意思的一点，这句话的最后说了：从1960到1996年，总共他杀了666，160人。为什么提及这个？因为我后来想做一下对比研究的时候，发现有一篇很流行的帖子：中国每年刑事案件死亡人数有7万人。那个帖子上提及美国一年的谋杀死亡人数是40万。那篇帖子说这个数据来源于：The United States of America Crime Commission。我看到这个名字就非常好奇：哪个国家会这么无聊成立一个犯罪委员会呢？

但是我还是google了一下，果然，美国没有这样的机构。相反，Google给我指向的相似机构是：The Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice（预防犯罪和刑事司法委员会）。但是这不是一家政府部门。

这让我警觉，不再敢相信网络上关于中国相应死亡人数的帖子，但是我也没有能够找到政府相关的网站，关于这个方面的帖子。

通过这个事情，我觉得有两点可以反思一下：1，中国的一些网络帖子引用的美国方面数据是否可信？2，中国政府为什么不像美国政府那样提供权威的年度信息？

 

下面，我们谈谈枪击案的数据。我查了一下，枪击案，在美国有特定的定义。根据FBI的定义：超过4名以上受伤或者死亡（不含凶手）的枪杀事件，称之为枪击案（mass shooting）。

It has been reported that more mass shootings occur in the United States than in other countries. Although the frequency of mass shootings varies upon their definition, it has been reported that 31% of public mass shootings occur in the U.S despite the U.S. having only 5% of the world's population,^[10][16] CNN reports that "there are more public mass shootings in the United States than in any other country in the world, according to a new study."^[10]

The frequency in which mass shootings occur varies upon definition. Mother Jones which ran a series of articles on mass shootings stated that as of 4 December 2015, there have been four mass shootings in that year. In contrast, in "Behind the Bloodshed", a report by USA Today, has stated that mass killings occur every two weeks and that public mass killings only account for 1 in 6 of all mass killings.^[11]

Other media outlets have reported that hundreds of mass shootings happen in the United States in a single calendar year, citing a crowd funded website known as Shooting Tracker which defines a mass shooting as having four or more people injured or killed.^[6] In December 2015, the Washington Post reported that there had been 355 mass shootings in the United States so far that year.^[17] In August 2015, the Washington Post reported that the United States was averaging one mass shooting per day.^[18] An earlier report had indicated that in 2015 alone, there had been 294 mass shootings that killed or injured 1,464 people.^[19] However, an article from Reddit stated that 42 percent of the incidents involved zero deaths and only one deaths in 29 percent of incidents.^[20] Shooting Tracker, the site that the media has been citing has been accused of inflating statistics.^[8][21] According to the Huffington Post, using the definition used by Shooting Tracker, 57% of mass shootings in the United States between 2009 and July 2015 involved a family member or intimate partner and 81 percent of the victims were women and children.^[14]

简要说一下数据：美国2015年，根据华盛顿邮报报道，一个发生355起这样的枪击案（但是没有说明死伤人数）。早期的一份报告说2015年一年有294起，伤亡一共1464人。根据Reddit网站的一篇文章，其中42%起是零死亡29%是一个人死亡（我有点糊涂：那样的话，就不符合FBI的定义）。

显然，这里的数据有点儿混淆。为了确保数据准确，我有找到下面的“枪击案”网站：

这个网站显然是希望控枪人士建立的。我下载了网站的数据CVS文件，根据这个网站，美国2015年枪击案330起，死亡367人，受伤1317人。

因为时间的关系，我没有办法每个案子看。我只是随机看了一个去年11月27日发生在我们加州首府Sacramento的案子：2死2伤。警察报告显示：有帮派参与。所以，是一件涉黑案件。

也就是说，美国一年死亡368人的这些枪击案，包括了黑社会的火并。

以上就是我对于昨天在群里的讨论中，随口说的一个枪击案的数据的调查。我不想给自己借口开脱，所以，只能说一声抱歉：我当时只是凭印象说美国一年枪击案发生很少。这是错误的。基本上每天都会发生，只是可能因为各种原因，我们并不知情。我对于我的那个随口一说，表示道歉。

 

美国枪击案的发生，与美国的历史有关。因为美国的自由就是人民通过武装获得的。所以，美国对于人民拥枪的自由，是从宪法上给予保护的。但是这也造成一个现实的问题：美国拥枪杀人的情况要高于其它任何方式。比如上面说的数据：他杀（包括谋杀和非故意杀人）中高达67%是枪杀。现在这个问题已经成为美国社会的一个热门话题：禁枪。基本上，这也是美国共和党和民主党在内政上的一个重大分歧。但是，禁枪是不是就能够解决杀人的问题呢？没有枪，人们是不是就不杀人了呢？我想，这是一个见仁见智的问题，留给读者自己思考吧。
