Yale Opera presents a master class with Alan Held

Renowned bass-baritone from the Metropolitan Opera will work with Yale Opera singers

Yale Opera presents the world-renowned bass-baritone Alan Held in a master class on January 13, 2010, at 7 pm in Sprague Hall (470 College Street, New Haven). Held, whose roles this season will include the Four Villians in Les Contes d’Hoffman at the Metropolitan Opera and Wotan/Wanderer in Wagner’s Ring Cycle (Los Angeles Opera), will work on aria repertoire with six up-and-coming singers from the Yale Opera program. Pianists Douglas Dickson and Timothy Shaindlin will accompany the master class. Singers and repertoire will be announced shortly.
