A complete salvation 10: to be a saint (7): Pray, pray and again pray <1>

Dear All:

All glories, praises and thanks be to God -- the only One worthy to receive all the glories, praises and thanks.

A complete salvation 10: to be a saint (7): Pray, pray and again pray <1>

Prayer is the life-breath of a real Christian. To pray to God is God's will and also our needs. Prayers are our daily worships and talks to God.
"Be joyful always, pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18)
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." (ROMANS 12:12)

To be a saint, we should grow up in the dependence of God.

In the prayer, we worship God and give all the glories, praises and thanks to God. Talking about this truth will also keep us on rejoicing in God only and always. And save us out of the trap of self-center and pride of self.
"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." (HEBREWS 13:15-16)

In the prayer, we seek God's will to be one in Christ. Prayers for the Kingdom of God are weapons to defeat the devil and evil spirits. Several historical great revivals are brought to earth through the co-work of men's earnest prayers. In the great mission of preaching the Gospel, prayers bring in the work of Holy Spirit. If anyone wants to see the miracle of prayers, one should go out to preach the Gospel. Signs and wonders from God will accompany those to confirm His word.
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (MATTHEW 6:33)
"Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him." (ACTS 28:8)

In the prayer, we examine ourselves whether we walk in the truth and the word of God or not. Or actually before we come to God and pray, we should do the self-check and cleaning. Have we done everything according to God's word and commands? Or have we done anything that will not please God? God won't listen to our prayers if one has no intention to reject the sinful nature and crucify the old self and obey God's word and commands.
"Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray." (1 PETER 4:7)
"For the eyes of Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of Lord is against those who do evil." (1 PETER 3:12)

In the prayer, we turn to God for help to go through the hardships and sufferings. We should grow up and learn to rely on God to conquer the difficulties. Blessed are those who take hold of faith firmly and trust in God. The righteous ones who take refuge in God will never be shaken.
"Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise." (JAMES 5:13)
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7)

Jesus Christ has taught us how to pray:
"This, then, is how you should pray: 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen'" (MATTHEW 6:9-14)

1. 'Our Father in heaven,' - our relationship to God.

All glories, praises and thanks be to God who create us as His children.
"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called the children of God!" (1 JOHN 3:1)
"You (God) made him (man) a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor." (PSALM 8:5)
"because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, 'Abba! Father!' The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we
are God's children." (ROMANS 8:14-16)
"Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." (ROMANS 8:17)
But we are the lost sons due to the original sin, we must try to be a saint like Jesus Christ and with the help of the Holy Spirit from Jesus Christ to regain and deserve the title.

We call God our heavenly Father. We should not live like orphans. Like someone who lives without principles, no respect to the elders, no love to other people and following the worldly wicked teachings to live selfishly and meanly. Like someone who live
helplessly and hopelessly with bitterness. We -- Christians know the right relationship in the Kingdom of Heaven and we should also learn to settle ourselves into this relationship.

We call God our heavenly Father. Not only we should pray and talk to Him daily as the incomparable and most respectable and dearest Father, but also we should listen to His word and obey His command. Otherwise, He will not listen.
"You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new
self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." (EPHESIANS 4:22-24)

We call God our heavenly Father. Therefore, we call each other brothers and sisters. That's why it is God's command that we should love neighbors like ourselves.
"Here is the clear difference between God's children and the Devil's children: anyone who does not do what is right or who does not love his brother is not God's child" (1 John 3:10).
"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'...The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'" (MATTHEW 25:34-40)

We call God our heavenly Father. We should follow the example of Jesus Christ and recover our image that God made us.
"If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him." (1 JOHN 2:29)

2. 'hallowed be your name,' -- our attitude when we come to God.

As mentioned in the previous letters, we must humble ourselves when we come to God.
"And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." (MICAH 6:8)

Also, we know that fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and understanding. We worship and pray to God with reverence and awe. Actually, after we know the truth of God from the Bible, we know we don't need to have fear of anything such as sufferings, accidents, disease, loss and death. But we must have fear of God. Be afraid so that we won't do anything that does not please Him and be approved by Him. Fear of God keeps one away from sins.
"Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our 'God is a consuming fire.'" (HEBREWS 12:28-29)
"Who, then, is the man that fears LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him." (PSALMS 25:12)
"The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them." (PSALMS 25:14)
"The fear of the LORD - that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding." (JOB 28:28)
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge," (PROVERBS 1:7)
"he will bless those who fear the LORD - small and great alike." (PSALMS 115:13)
"I (Jesus Christ) tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom to fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him." (Luke
12:4-5).

As mentioned in the previous letters, God is all the goodness and truth and is the source for everything good including love. With all our love we come to God.
"...for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." (1 JOHN 4:7-8)
"And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." (1 JOHN 4:16-18)
"We love because He (God) first loved us." (1 JOHN4:19)
"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (MATTHEW 22:37-40)

We pray to God in spirit and in truth.
"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, of they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." (JOHN 4:23-24)

All glories, praises and thanks be to God!
God bless us to pray in His will
in Jesus

Warnings from watchman:

The parable of the tenants: "A man planted a vineyard... Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and went away on a journey. At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants to collect from them some of the fruit of the vineyard. But they seized him, beat him and sent him away empty-handed... He sent many others; some of them they beat, others they killed. He had one left to send, a son, whom he loved. He sent him last of all,... But the tenants said to one another, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.' So they took him and killed him,... What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others." (MARK 12:1-12)

"...so hear the word I (God) speak and give them warning from me. When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you will surely die,' and you do not speak out to dissuade him from his ways, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his
blood. But if you do warn the wicked man to turn from his ways and he does not do so, he will die for his sin, but you will have saved yourself." (EZEKIEL 33:7-9)
Holy Spirit calls on a watchman to warn and save, but not to spread placebo like the devil such that many people will be caught by surprise when falling to the hell instead of Heaven. All glories, praises and thanks be to LORD who want every one of you to
make a turn to live rather than holding a placebo all the way to fall into the Abyss.

"He does not answer when men cry out because of the arrogance of the wicked. Indeed, God does not listen to their empty plea; the Almighty pays no attention to it." (JOB 36:12-13)
"I (Jesus Christ) tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous signs but because you ate the loaves and had you fill. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval." (JOHN 6:26-27)
"These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are rules taught by men." (MARK 7:6-7)
