What a day! Today is my brother's birthday and my niece's first day in this world. At 7:05 am 7/24/06 my sister gave birth to her first child, my parents' first grandchild. I am so proud of you, Tina, my dearest sister! Tina has a history of fainting at the first sight of blood. Now she is a brave mother now.
I updated Bug about it. He said," Congratulations on being an auntie. Oh, I didn't mean you are old. Don't get me wrong, honey." I used to hate it so much when he called me Auntie. Ever since he heard people called my mom auntie, auntie instantly became one of my nicknames. But, now I am a real happy auntie. That little cut thing and I have at least 1/8 of our genes identical. Wow!
Tina said," I tried to picture the baby's face some many times before today. Finally it became so real and detail to me when I laid eyes on my baby girl." She sheepishly admits that the baby is prettier than she thought.
Grandma (my mom) said," The girl is so cute. She is so beautiful. ". She told me that she was a little mad at her cousin who made a comment that the pretty girl resembles the father a lot and fortunately doesn't look like my sister. Oh, Lord, my sister is not a stunning beauty but she is nowhere close to the other end.
Atongmu (my brother-in-law) said to my sister," I prayed for a baby girl and now I have a baby girl. You are awsome. But why hasn't you dad come and visit the baby? Is it because she is a girl?"
Grandpa (my dad) said," The little girl has inherited our family's facial shape. It is a sign of good luck. I am a guy and it is not appropriate for me to stay in the OB ward for too long."
My brother said," She was born on my birthday. What an coincidence. I was born at 7am too."
My sister-in-law said," Tina is awsome. It only took her two ours to give birth. Maybe she should have more babies since it sounds so easy for her."
Tina passed out twice after the delivery. The first time it happened when she tried to get into a chair two hours after the delivery because she got bored lying in bed; the second time it happened when she was in the bathroom. She did not want to bother others, nor did she want to use the bedpan. She sneaked out of her bed, but couldn't make her way back. What a silly girl.

Tina and I chatted over the phone for at least an hour. At the end she asked me," is it normal to feel this well? I just had a baby yesterday." Tina, you are so great.
