I was sitting in front of my pc. That week, I was not alone since the kids were with me. But, I was still feeling kinda of lonely. With eagerness, I opened up my profile on the dating site. I’d never been computer dependent since I prefer to living my life in the real world. But, I was somehow anxious to see if I had received messages.

People on Internet tend to be independent and untrusting. Nevertheless, I started to review some profiles, some with pictures, and some without.

One caught my attention. It was one Asian woman, but no pictures. I wondered how she looks. Looking is somehow important.

Let me sent her a message, I said to myself,  maybe she will answer. She answered me, Woohoo!

After we chatting for a while, I discovered that we had many things in common. I insisted to see some pictures of her. Finally she agreed and opened 3 of her pictures in her profile.

Wow, what a beautiful woman! Maybe such a pretty woman won’t have interest to me, I told myself.

Since I’m not too crazy about chatting, I started to ask her if she would agree to talk on the phone. 

I give you my phone number, you can call me if feel comfortable to do so, I told her

She joked with me, I don’t speak French and my English is not good. I’m afraid that you won’t understand me

That fine, my English is good. We can have a try, I insisted.

She laughed and let me wait for her dialing the number.

So, we finally talked on the phone. Her voice matches perfectly what I imagined from the pictures. I must meet that woman. Maybe it works, maybe not. Let me provoke destiny.

The first time we met, it was her birthday. Coincidently, it’s also the birthday of my daughter’s best friend’s mother, and she is a Chinese as well. So, we met at that lady’s restaurant.

Before I meeting her, I went to buy a present. I thought romantic music would make a nice gift for a nice woman. She told me that she likes music, but doesn’t know a lot about. The record I bought her was a Canadian Jazz singer named Dianna Krall. The name of the album is “THE LOOK OF LOVE”.

I doubt Asian woman would be interested in me. But she looked very wise, pretty, sweet, funny and classy. Even though I did not put too much hope, I wanted to see what the thing goes.
