Chinese 'Bad Example' Chen Kaige Nominated For 'Green Chinese' A

Chinese bloggers are going bananas over the nomination of Chen Kaige for the "Green Chinese" annual award.

Apparently the director caused some serious damage to a pristine Shangri-la lakeside during the making of his picture "The Promise."

China's State Environmental Protection Administration cut out an $11,250 fine from Chen's $42 million budget because the moviemaker and crew destroyed some vegetation new Bigu Lake.
