AftertwodaysatGrandTeton,wedrovebacktoIdahoFalls.Withhalfadaylefttospend,wedecidedtocheckoutCratersoftheMoonNationalMonument,located75mileswestofIdahoFalls.Itisadormantvolcanicareawithmilesoflavaflowswhichoccurredthousandsofyearsago.Thereareseveralhikingtrailsandascenic7milesloopdriveinthepark.Thelandscapewasreallyweird,insomewayitremindedmeofVolcanoNationalParkinHawaii.

JustsouthofYellowstone,thereisGrandTetonNationalPark,abeautifulparkwithmuchfewerpeopleandtraffic.WetooksomehikesinLeighLakeandJennyLakearea.TheCascadeCanyontrailwassaidtobeagoodhike.Butitis9milesroundtripwith1057-footelevationchangejusttoreachthecanyon.We'dneedanextradaytodothat.Maybenexttime.
