After our first bathroom renovation, I thought there's no way I would do it again. Too much work. And a lot of them were hard work that hurt my arm, my back, and everywhere else. But believe it or not, 6 months after finishing our first bathroom renovation, we somehow forgot how painful it was, and did another one. This time it was our master bathroom. We changed the vinyl floor to tiles, refinished the base board and trim, installed new toilet, and replaced the threshold. Hopefully this is it. I don't want to do another one again.
1. The old vinyl floor.
2. Another look.
3. After removing the vinyl floor, we installed a layer of plywood first.
4. Then it is the Denshield (a mold-resistant tile backer board).
5. Laying out the tiles. The toilet hole is the hardest cut to make using a wet saw on a porcelain tile.
