Chapter 50

Dai Min left, and Cao Fade entered. He said to the four public security workers, “You have been rash in dealing with this matter. Why should you be so impatient given that we have kept a close eye over the Zhang’s house for 2 months?” Cao realized that he was rash himself while blaming the others.

The team members did not argue with Cao, but thought it reasonable to ask Dai the landlady to come to the public security office. Besides, they have watched the Zhang’s house for 2 months, and National Day was coming; yet, they had no evidence about the enemy. How should they report their work to the government? Was it wrong to consider the Zhang’s as guilty? Was it necessary to keep watching the house? Cao thought for a while and calculated it might be better to report the case to the government after National Day.

Cao did not need to go back to the provincial government for work at this time. He thought the work against the bandits and the evil old-times forces more important. The government ordered that strict punishment be given to those involved in prostitution, opium-taking and gambling. Most of the prostitutes had changed their ways of living, though there were some prostitutes hiding here and there. Opium-takers had to reform themselves as well. Cao believed this a great job done by the new government.

Chairman Mao and the Communists were much praised for the work against the evil and unhealthy practice. The city of Guiyang enjoyed a happy and peaceful life. The roads were improved, and economy was developing well. Cao also found an ideal lover.

Cao got nothing from the Zhang’s house. He went out of the public security office towards his lover’s house. The woman might have cooked a nice supper for him. There might be delicious chicken on the table. His lover was pretty and attractive. Thinking of this, his cock erected.

Cao Fade was from Jingdezhen of Jinagxi Province. His father was a ceramic worker. There were 4 daughters and 1 son in this family. Cao’s father thought it a pity that he had more daughters. When Cao was 16, his father arranged a 19-year-old girl for his son as wife. The girl was tall, dark and fat.

Cao was short, fat and dark. He looked older than his age. He got mature early. His penis was bigger than the other boys’. He liked to meet girls. He liked to stare at their breasts and private parts. He often peeped at his elder sisters. His father once said while pointing at Cao’s penis:

“We rely on this treasure.”

Cao was regarded as precious in the family. He was ugly-looking but felt proud. At 10 he liked to touch his cock and made it stiff in sleep. His fourth elder sister had a bath and Cao peeped at her. He saw her breasts, fair skin and rosy face as well as black hair in her private parts. Cao was eager to touch her.

One night, Cao’s penis erected. He climbed up his fourth elder sister’s bed. She wore shorts and was fast asleep. The other day a match-maker came and told the Cao’s that they sould marry her as she reached 16. That was half a year later, Cao thought. He felt it a pity that his sister would become another man’s wife. Thus, he touched his sister’s private parts with his fingers. She woke up, and found it was her younger sister. She screamed.

Cao’s father came, and Cao was shocked. He jumped off the bed, but his penis still erected. Cao’s father was worried that this might make his son’s penis suffer. He slashed his daughter on the face, blaming, “Is there anything wrong with his sleeping on the same bed with you? Dear son, climb up the bed. If she dares to scream, I’ll teach her a lesson.”

Ever since then, Cao had been harassing his fourth elder sister. This continued until her marriage.

Cao did not feel unsatisfied with his wife. She was fat and dark. He did not care about that. What he cared most was sex. This was a woman that he could manipulate as he liked. He was 16, and strong. He liked to have sex over and over, which made his wife plead for mercy. She implored him to give her a rest.

Cao’s father heard the noise in the neighboring room. He was content with his son’s acts, but felt annoyed at his daughter-in-law’s cries. He pounded at the wall, shouting, “Dear son, go on. We need children. Fuck! The other men’s wives could have sex well. Is it wrong for you to have sex with her?”

The woman stopped imploring. The mother-in-law cleared her throat, saying, “Women have to obey their husbands and give birth to children. It’s not good to protest in this way.”

Cao continued his sex. He did not fail his parents’ expectations. In two months, his wife got pregnant, and he shouted proudly at his parents, “My wife is pregnant.”

When Cao was 17, he had a son. At 18, he had a second son. At this time, the battles against the Kuomintang were going on. The publicity teams came to Jingdezhen. Cao suddenly had an idea of joining the army. He thought this could make him have a good life later. Also, the Communists welcomed people of such a family background to join the army and revolution.

Cao liked to stare at the female publicity team members. They looked pretty and lovely. They could dance and sing. Cao did not discuss with his parents and wife, and decided to join the army. He left a message to them telling them about his whereabouts.

Cao joined the army for another important reason. He got tired of his wife. She was poorly-educated, and did not attract him physically. To him she was worthless. Thus, he needed to look for a better future.

Cao had an education of primary school, but he knew much about ceramic paintings. Thus, he became an intellectual in the then army. He became a secretary and joined the Communist Party. Later, he was chosen by Yan as his aide.

The revolution did now weaken Cao’s sexual desire. He looked around Guiyang for women. He did not care about his wife in Jiangxi with his two sons.

Cao realized that it was wrong for him to get married so early and for him to have two sons at the age of 19. He thought marriage was a block against his career. He wrote back to his parents, asking them to divorce his wife at home at the excuse that arranged marriage was hated by revolutionaries. He also told his parents that if he did not end this unhappy marriage, he would not become a real revolutionary.

Cao had been hoping to become a great hero. The media publicized such heroes as Huang Jiguang who used his body to block the enemies’ firings in order to protect the other soldiers. He thought them great, but wondered why they should have been so silly as to lose their lives this way. There could have been some other smarter ways, Cao thought.

In the early years of the new republic, social dance was popular in Beijing and other cities. Every Saturday night, there would be some social dance parties. Cao admired others’ dancing with beautiful girls or women. He was short and fat, and could hardly find an ideal dancing partner.

Cao was still young. He had a strong sexual desire. He wanted to get a woman that could satisfy his desire. Unexpectedly, a camouflaged prostitute, or rather a nice girl, who was 19 with fair skin and slender waist, showed love to him. He got her.
