尽善尽美

昨晚看了一个拍摄于1997年的电影 As Good As It Gets，中文译成《尽善尽美》。影片中主要有三个人物，举止古怪、有洁癖、强迫症的老作家 Melvin Udall（Jack Nicholson 饰），他有着三句话就令人沮丧、处处败兴的本领。一个在餐馆里做招待的单亲母亲 Carol Connelly （Helen Hunt饰），她和自己的母亲以及患有哮喘病的儿子住在一个小公寓里。年轻画家Simon Bishop（Greg Kinnear 饰），因为同性恋的缘故不被父母所理解，就在即将举办画展之前恶运却接踵而至。

三个人都有着各自的烦恼，接下来的剧情发展把他们联系到了一起。整个影片给人的感觉是相当愉快的，特别是里面还有一只格外逗人喜爱的小狗。我很喜欢 Melvin Udall 的那段真情倾诉:

I might be the only person on the face of the earth that knows you're the greatest woman on earth. I might be the only one who appreciates how amazing you are in every single thing that you do, and how you are with Spencer, "Spence," and in every single thought that you have, and how you say what you mean, and how you almost always mean something that's all about being straight and good. I think most people miss that about you, and I watch them, wondering how they can watch you bring their food, and clear their tables and never get that they just met the greatest woman alive. And the fact that I get it makes me feel good, about me.

生活不是完美的，有追求的人总是行走在尽善尽美的路上。

我很喜欢 Hydrangeas，开花灿烂并充满了希望，而且颜色丰富、品种繁多，即使是同一植株，在不同时节都会变幻莫测。这是 Hydrangeas 家族中一个有趣的品种，“Hopcorn” purple，看起来就像一大把爆米花儿：



虽然是同一植株，花朵的颜色也有明显偏差，这只偏紫红：


如果土壤呈现碱性，花朵就会偏红色，如果呈酸性，就会趋于蓝色，所以可以依照个人喜好施肥时注意调节土壤的酸碱度。我喜欢偏蓝色，所以会每周补充一次柠檬、橘子树的营养液，也可以买到一种调节剂，哪怕粉色的，都可以渐渐变成蓝色。尽管是户外品种，这个花经不起暴晒，土壤要湿润，但任何时候都不可以积水。

我特意在它身边放一只幸运小青蛙，守护它，也算尽善尽美。:-)
