precious comes from scarcity

Three days ago, I went to A.J.Wright to buy some cookies because I was hungry. I saw a cute stainless coffee cup and liked it. But I didn't want to spend more than planned, I hesitated between the cup and the cookies. Finally, my stomach won over my fondness of the cup and I even gave myself an excuse: there must be many cups that are better than this one, and besides, I alreay have a lot of mugs. Today, I went to the same store to buy the cup. But it was gone. I was so disappointed and blamed myself on always satisfying my unsatiable appetite. But then, I asked myself: what if there were lot of them, would I buy one?
