Where Is The Love (音)

I talked to my sister who lives in a small city in China last night. I knew that she is pregnant and due to give birth soon, so I supposed she must be very excited. However, she is not. I learnt that her parents-in-law threw her and her husband out, simply because everyone thinks she will give birth to a baby girl.  (This also implied that the parents-in-law are not bothered to look after my sister and the baby after the birth, because it will be a girl.)

I was shocked. I heard that people’s morality is changing because of a lot of things happening in China. However, I could not believe that people are losing their sense of FAMILY. My sister told me that if it is really a girl, her husband will divorce her, because his family NEEDS a boy. I had nothing to say. They are all educated people, well, they are supposed to be.

I could not fall asleep after talking to my sister. Is it just something happens to her, or is it like others’ saying, people’s morality has changed because of some policies?
